As CEO of NewLease G2M, Walter is responsible for building sustainable customer value in the delivery of SaaS business consulting and go-to-market services, and in helping clients find new ways to engage with their customers to create mutual value. He is also responsible for developing the partnership with the Social Media Academy.
Before NewLeaseG2M Walter has consulted to start-up, and ASX-listed, and global companies on investment and business growth strategies, funding and exit strategies, based upon his direct experience in large-scale IT solution strategy and sales. Most recently, he has assisted C-level execs in due diligence assessments, in providing innovation strategies in outsourcing arrangements, and was the Independent Advisor to the ICT Strategy Board of the Government of Victoria for a period.
He previously worked with Computer Sciences Corporation and was VP of BHP Information Technology (BHP IT), a wholly owned subsidiary of BHP-Billiton Ltd, where he ran marketing, sales, and the systems integration delivery business for the first 5 years, and then developed and executed the business plan for Asia. He started and ran the operations in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand and completed additional projects in HK and India.
In 1999 he led the team which developed the strategic sourcing strategy for IT services for BHP Billiton, which resulted in a global outsourcing contract with CSC in 2000.
Prior to joining BHP Walter spent 13 years in academia including 7 as a Senior Teaching Fellow in Computational Statistics at the University of New England. He holds an MSc in Computing Science and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Programme of the Mt Eliza Centre for Executive Education.

As Principal of NewLease G2M Pty Ltd and Director and Chief Operating Officer of NewLease Pty Ltd, Dawn is responsible for the management of systems, people and performance and day to day operations of both organizations. Prior to founding NewLease, Dawn was instrumental in building two successful startups. She has qualifications in multimedia, marketing and the design and development of quality management systems.
Born in the UK and raised in Australia, Dawn now divides her time between Melbourne and a beach shack at Cape Woolamai on Victoria’s Philip Island. She keeps fit by trying to keep up with her two very active little girls and keeps centred by trying to practise yoga in between everything else.

Founder of both NewLeaseG2M and NewLease Pty Ltd, Doug embodies the modern entrepreneur. He has found areas where service was lacking and built businesses to answer the needs. At NewLease and NewLeaseG2M, Doug focuses on business development, building partnerships, and maximizing the customer experience.
In 2003, Doug saw a clear need for an organization to administer Microsoft’s Service Provider License Agreement (SPLA) in Australia and AsiaPac. By 2008, he had weathered the storm to help create one of Microsoft’s most nimble and successful SPLA practices. He recognized, however, that many of the target customers for SPLA were in desperate need of assistance in building their offerings and bringing them to market. His vision for NewLeaseG2M was built on this need and in Mural Ventures and Walter Adamson he sourced powerful partners to deliver the answers to this community.
Prior to NewLease and NewLeaseG2M Doug had recognized a need in the childcare market and spent several years answering it with a successful chain of childcare centres and services to the childcare industry. Before moving into the entrepreneurial world, Doug built an intimate knowledge of business management, business challenges, and business opportunities for a variety of organizations. He has extensive experience in manufacturing and business consulting, working with companies such as Orica and Ausdoc.
While self admittedly a “gadget man,” he brings his love for innovation to everything he does. He is constantly looking for the next opportunity and the next best way to improve his businesses. Doug lives with his wife Jenny and their son Luke and greatly enjoys exposing Luke to anything with a fast motor, most notably looking forward to F1’s annual stop in Melbourne.

Margaret Mead
As a Principal at NewLeaseG2M and Head of Strategy at NewLease Pty Ltd, Boughty helps drive the engagement between customers, partners, and companies. Boughty is responsible for working with organizations to build service orientated offerings (e.g., SaaS) by focusing on building persona driven businesses and solutions that engage with users and customers at every level from intuitive user interface to social media.
Boughty has been with NewLease Pty Ltd since 2004 and was responsible for creating the business plan and model for the company and then running strategy as well as channel development into new markets and product offerings. He recently joined the NewLeaseG2M team adding his experience in consulting and the ASP/SaaS world to the organization’s offerings.
Prior to joining NewLease, Boughty consulted on projects revolving around new market development and new product development. He has worked in fields including software-defined-radio, video game publishing, retail logistics, software distribution, and retail-supplier collaboration solutions. He has consulted to global organizations such as TNT and Agentrics (one of the largest providers of SaaS services to the retail and FMG sectors).
Prior to consulting, Boughty worked for Telleo a community marketing and communications platform that built a web presence for every landline in the United States. His responsibilities included managing the launch market as well as managing partner and VC relationships. Boughty also spent several years in both operations and merchandising for multibillion dollar US home improvement retailer, Hechinger Stores Company.
Boughty has an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management consistently ranked the best international program by everyone from the Wall Street Journal to the Financial Times to US News and World Reports. He is certified by both Microsoft and VMWare in software licensing.
Boughty resides in Singapore representing NewLease’s and NewLeaseG2M’s interests in the region, as well as enjoying the local foods (arguably too much of the local foods) and access to all the great cultures and sites of the region.
Jeff Hagins has more than 27 years of experience in software development, software engineering management, software quality, software product management, and software marketing. His career has included positions as Chief Technology Officer, Senior Vice President of Product Management, Chief Architect, Vice President of Engineering, and Board Member for companies such as Lockheed Martin, J.D. Edwards, TeleComputing, Apptix, Dynix, SMBLive, and most recently, Mural Ventures.
Hagins has been active in the Software-as-a-Service and Application Services industry from the beginning, helping to launch the J.D. Edwards ASP initiative in early 2000, becoming a board member of the ASP Industry Consortium (ASPIC) in 2001, as an advisor to the Computing Technology Industry Association (COMPTIA) Software Services Group, as an advisor to Microsoft on the Communications & Collaboration Developer Advisory Council, and as a member of the Gerson-Lehrman Technology, Media, and Telecommunications Council of Advisors and the Software Information Industry Association (SIIA) SaaS Executive Council.
Hagins has worked actively over the last 8 years in the Software-As-A-Service industry with software vendors, hosting providers, and telecommunications companies such as J.D. Edwards, Microsoft, SAP, Computer Sciences Corporation, British Telecom, and many others. His efforts with these companies have focused on Software-as-a-Service with specific focus on Product Strategy, Sales & Marketing Strategy, Service Design & Launch, Software Product Architecture, Service Optimization, and OSS/BSS Integration.
Jeff provides a unique perspective on the SaaS Industry, having worked as CTO for SaaS ISVs such as SMBLive, as a CTO for pure-play Application Hosters such as Apptix, and even as the CIO for Dynix, a mid-market company purchasing SaaS offerings.
As CTO of Mural Ventures, he has led the development of the Mural SaaS Key Success Factors maturity model, and has worked with ISVs and SaaS providers of all shapes and sizes, from small startup SaaS companies to large traditional ISVs who are making the shift to Software-as-a-Service. Hagins leads Mural’s product and technology strategy efforts for their SaaS portfolio companies and acts as the Chief Technology Officer for Mural Consulting, which focuses exclusively on helping ISVs and other SaaS providers succeed with their SaaS offerings.
